Leeds Fans’ Horror and Disgust at Holier Than Thou Frank Lampard’s 9/11 Shame – by Rob Atkinson

Lampard – holier than thou?

Anyone who’s paid any attention to the sanctimonious ramblings of Derby County manager Frank Lampard Jr, ever since the ever more ridiculous Spygate row emerged, would surely be surprised if not totally shocked at the apparent hypocrisy displayed by this erstwhile member of England’s “Golden Generation”. Lampard, despite prefacing many of his Spygate press answers over the past week with “I really don’t want to talk about that again”, has nevertheless lost few opportunities to express his angelic disapproval of the heinous crime committed by a Leeds United employee, to wit: standing on a public highway and looking through a wire mesh fence instead of averting his eyes. How distasteful it is, then, to discover that Lampard has at least one skeleton in his closet that puts a spot of football espionage distinctly in the shade.

It turns out – and I’ll warn you now if you’re a Fwankie Fan, you’d better look away here – that Lampard, together with three then Chelsea team-mates, found it funny and entertaining to mock and ridicule some grieving American tourists in London just twenty-four hours after the 9/11 Twin Towers attacks in 2001

A manager at Heathrow’s Post House hotel, where the disgraceful incident occurred, said: “They were utterly disgusting. They just didn’t seem to care about what had happened. We had a lot of Americans here and were simply trying to comfort them in their hour of need. Meanwhile these men were laughing and joking, taking off their clothes and abusing our guests.” Another witness said: “One of them was walking around laughing with everything hanging out, while on TV there were crying firemen searching for bodies. It was sick.”

The nature and timing of such shameful behaviour rather takes your breath away and, even allowing for the fact that boys will be boys etc, the disgusting lack of respect and empathy for people still shocked and stunned by the appalling events in Manhattan is hard to describe – except, perhaps, to remind those lining up to condemn Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United that there have been worse things going on at various times, despite vociferous attempts to paint Spygate as an Eighth Deadly Sin.

Looking back over the past week, with this appalling episode in mind, it’s hard to stomach the holier-than-thou look on Lampard’s face as he’s presumed to lecture somebody of vastly superior character, experience and ability about matters such as morals and ethics. And it’s difficult to imagine a clearer case of gutter hypocrisy. Of course, it was a long time ago. But Lampard was no callow teenager, he was a 23-year old who had been awarded representative honours by his country and so was expected to be some sort of ambassador for the nation. Such behaviour is the mark of an arrogant and uncaring thug, and there will be those who would argue that such leopards do not change their spots.

For my part, whatever the eventual outcome of Spygate, I will take no lectures or homilies from Mr Lampard about ethics, morality or anything else. He showed his true colours over 17 years ago, and we can surely be in no doubt as to the less than genuine nature of his carefully cultivated victim persona over the past few days.

Frank Lampard is a media darling, that’s clear enough. But he’s also, at bottom, a nasty little person demonstrably capable of the very worst of human nature. We should all remember that, the next time his hypocritical boat race appears, begging for sympathy and understanding, on our TV screens.

  1. He is a scumbag.
    A coward.
    A liar.
    He has no integrity.
His first wife made it clear what sort of man he is.
His own team do not want to play for him.
He is not fit to kiss Marcelo’s bucket.
    WE will never forgive him!!!

Not to mention Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand and Keiron Dyer performing sexual acts on a ‘sex tape’ which showed an orgy taking place in Ayia Nappa in 2000. The News of the World were delighted to explain to the British public what had happened on that ‘lads holiday’. I gather the film is still viewable on line but as I am not a pervert I won’t be stooping as low as Frank and getting aroused by this vile display.
When the News of the World was rightly closed down I remember thinking ‘good riddance’ but without them we may never have realised how low people like Frank Lampard will go. And sadly that is very low indeed.
All of a sudden Frank is now the guardian of morality. Incredible.

Why has spy-gate immediately become Sky-gate? Why are Sky Sports spending every possible second tracking down every irrelevant ex-player, every one who has ever been a current manager, unemployed manager, retired manager in the history of football across the globe, to ask them their opinion and how they think Leeds United players, fans and head coach should be punished? It is now 9 days since Bielsa admitted his actions yet Sky Sports are putting a mike in front of every manager/pundit and re-broadcasting the most critical responses in a 15 minutes loop!!!

Sky were boasting that they were going to broadcast live coverage of Bielsa’s impromptu press conference, (in the clear hope that they were going to show an exclusive of Bielsa’s resignation). However, once it was clear to their representatives at the presser that Bielsa wasn’t resigning,(despite all their efforts), they were so disappointed that they did not interrupt their Transfer Centre until after 28 minutes when an excited Jim White announced that Bielsa had admitted to spying, (watching) every opponent’s players before games.

The Transfer Centre then continues before a further interruption by an even more excited Jim White approx. 15 minutes later, (ironically, whilst Sky were showing footage of Scumchester United on their training ground!!), to announce that Sky Sports were urgently trying to speak to representatives of all Leeds’ rival teams for their reaction to Bielsa’s claims.

How on earth can Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United Football Club, players and fans EVER receive a “fair trial and reasonably proportionate punishment” ?
Sky Sports are clearly intent on going to every length to ensure that Leeds United and Bielsa are not allowed a fair hearing and I do not understand why there has not been any legal statement from the club, nor indeed the FA and EFL requiring Sky Sports to curb their witch hunt to allow an impartial investigation.

I sincerely hope that Leeds United is not going to simply roll over and take Sky Sports “medicine” without one hell of a legal challenge.

He said there was shocking news coming from ER.
The news was that Marcelo ‘spied’ on every team.
That was not news – it was obvious that Marcelo would have watched every team.

While we’re at it….and discussing Derby County’s higher moral stance, I seem to remember Frank’s number 2 being involved in a few unpleasant sexual allegations back in the early 2000s. Jody Morris who is now assisting Lampard at Pride Park is well worth a Google, especially if you add the words ‘sexual assault’ to your Google search. So lucky that we we have these two ‘holier than thou’ ex-players at Derby, whose only interest is the purity of football and those who play and manage it.

Doesn’t surprise me in the slightest Rob. As usual, an inspired piece!
Watching MOTD the other night, I was shocked and stunned by the commentry on how all the ex ‘pros’ (Murphy in particular) thought it was unfair that the ‘darlings’ goal was not offside, even tho VAR said otherwise. I think that game was almost given to them on a plate judging by the way the pundits were bigging them up from the off. Conspiracy springs to mind!!
Also, me being paranoid here, gping back to last Friday, normally when on the telly at a game they (sky) get an ex home team player or manager in to chat crap. How did we end up with Darren Bent ??? Its bad enough with Mr Andrews (who seems to have quickly changed his tune). It’s all a bit weird and wonderful, the cloak n dagger stuff seems to be pointing the other way in my eyes!
Ps. Well done MB for showing the world Deeerrrrbys tactics (or lack of) Fwank doesn’t have the nouse to change anything so they are well and truly found out.MOT

Things are really bad in football when the pundits are complaining that VAR got a decision RIGHT. I watched the Southampton v Derby game on telly and it was offside. VAR correctly underlined that point and all the BBC pundits could do was criticise. Frank really does have these morons eating out of his hand.

Hi Rob, I am happy for you to summarise my earlier post regarding Sky-gate because I am sure I wasn’t the only bemused Leeds United fan watching Sky’s coverage of Bielsa’s hastily convened presser and all the times of Jim White’s excited announcements are approximate, plus it is in the public domain anyhow if you need to corroborate anything.

Obviously, my primary concern Rob, is that Sky Sports stop their witch hunt immediately in the interests of an impartial investigation, (which I appreciate would be a first in the history of Leeds United Football Club) ALAW

Only fools believe that spying gives any new info that can change results..it only to confirm what Bielsa already knows and he alluded to that..he could not change anything much anyway..we all know that spying doesn’t make or break a game..it just minute (of minor importance )
additional info that is just there for Bielsa to feel at least he made that extra effort…no stone left upturn kind of thing-The man being a perfectionist that he is.
As I said,it is just part of Bielsa’s research work going back decades it just here we don’t do it. it silly to think that a game can be decided on such flimsy and minute information. it’s absurd!

And for me,that the whole point..no one thinks for one minute that such small info can affect results, that is ludicrous!!!

Trying to get a penalty by diving …that a big one for me far more than spying..trying to get a player sent off, anther one..Referees making wrong offside calls when you are 90% certain to score..Not awarded a clear-cut penalty.. we are victims of this kind of injustice almost every game. Why don’t these pricks shut up and take a breath and stop this myth by pretending that some how we are stealing valuable information that can some how make us win week in, week out..it a myth that.

all that Spying does is make you feel satisfied that the information you already have confirms what you think you know already.even that doesn’t mean it will be valuable. it the actual 90 min of a game that settles the matter..

You have 11 v 11 and that all there is to it..whatever happens during that actual encounter is what decides games ..this whole thing has became so stupid now. even if you know their system for that day, they might change it and you will adjust to that within a few minutes anyway if it necessary.
LET THE DAMN SAGA GO, IF IT WAS ANY OTHER CLUB,NO NE WOULD BOTHER TALKING ABOUT IT.
Time that the FA and the EFL Investigate their own cheating officials or in many cases, ineptness then we will start taking them more serious.

Jim White also discussed Spygate with what seemed like obsessive enthusiasm on Talksport for ages and ages and ages. It was mainly negative but a few enlightened souls stuck up for Bielsa. Matt Le Tissier couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about. Martin Keown just talked out of his back passage, but that’s normal for him with his trite, simplistic drivel.

I use to like Frank, but a few years ago, me and my boys were staying at Worsley Marriott, when scum played Chelsea (sorry, scum played scum). My kids were one of a few folks waiting to get an autograph. Some were Chelsea fans wanting their shirts signing. John Terry, Frank Lampard and Scott Parker signed just their initials on the shirts of their own fans! When challenged, John Terry said that it was to stop people making money out of them signing stuff. Now, if you are a millionaire, why the f*ck does it actually matter. It shows just how pathetic they were and still are. Frank was a player under Mourinho when AVB was spying for him and he knows it full well, the piece of sh*t.

Jody Morris is mentioned several times above. I had a brief encounter with him when he was playing for us. After a match, I strolled round the other side of Elland Road and saw a crowd waiting quietly behind a police barrier type of fence. I then realised they were hoping for autographs. I decided to join them. I got Alan Smith to sign his own photo in my programme; and elsewhere, I got Matteo, Robinson, Milner, Viduka, etc.. Then, I saw this little guy come along and go to sign. When I saw it was Morris, I took my programme away. He looked a bit surprised, shrugged and moved on to the next guy. I’ve never regretted that decision.

Also amazed to see how much coverage it has had over the last week(s).
To be honest, what ex-professional is going on live Sports TV, with a possible on-going investigation and saying “yes, it’s happened for years”, as they would get called in to identify who they were referencing! .. Hi Rob, I am not sure you are aware of this but I think there needs to be a pliergate inquiry too now…According to Derbyshire Police the man in question had no pliers or bolt cutters or any other kind of equipment for breaking in to the training ground. I think it would be good if you can highlight this issue as it appears Fwankie and his team or perhaps some hack at an anti-Leeds rag may have added the pliers to the story which, if true, then shows this to have been a premeditated effort to make it look like we were breaking the law. See article here and let me know what you think: https://thisisfutbol.com/2019/01/blogs/derby-polic-responses-show-something-rotten-going-on-over-spygate/

We both know, together we could go places.

But Marcelo, Frankie has been making a pass at me. He comes from that bunch of Cheeky Chappy Cockneys who have the backing of the white privilege and institutions. From Caine to Sugar, Greavesy to Terry the Venerable all backed up by those charismatic twins, the Krays. This is their culture Marcelo.

Don’t be fooled by the threat of institutionalised punishment. Frankie, has just left home and it’s showing. Does he realise if he crosses the Nottinghamshire border he could be arrested for misogyny? The culture is different outside a Metropolis, as Frankie showed those New Yorkers.

Marcelo, you can go for Victim status. You are an immigrant, tick. Cultural ignorance gets a pass. Alas, this is not enough by itself.
I admired your power-point presentation. Many, including Frankie just saw it as you showing off your toys but others can see you were trying to show the underlying obsessive nature you have, outside your own control. Tick.
Now is the time to ring your family back home and use your privilege. You know and I’m sure a few suspect you have good connections and we know it’s not just water.
I’m with you Marcelo, even though we came unstuck at the Potteries for the umpteenth time. The domination of the play was good, the final third was poor and the lack of physical presence showed but what do all teams expect at Stoke. It was great to see, your opposing manager, Mr Jones expressing his realisation of beating somebody he considers way above his league, at the moment. That is hidden adoration. Congratulations on your 1st win, Nathan. It was an enjoyable match to watch. Win some, lose some. You seem more sound to me than Frankie.

At the moment Frankie is starting to advertise for “an experienced Data Integration Architect to join our Data and Football Analysis Teams”, we can now see how our teams have prepared. No doubt, there were a few embarrassed faces in the Championship board meetings this week. Yes, those geeks that you had at your school are moving in to football. Big Time.
Many who are covering this subject still haven’t noticed, Leeds signed up with the American Football 49’s. Exchange of Technical Expertise and Training were sorted.
The Derby board are probably convinced now, that a pair of binoculars is not the difference between the teams.

The joy of the Championship. Be ready for a roller coaster finish to the Championship, yet again.
