    A joke surely.

  2. I can’t think of many players at this level who could have played such a selfless and exhausting role and given defenders the runaround and still managed to score thirteen goals. Recent example Hull C. Bamford comes off after 72 minutes when the opposition defence is battle weary after a great Leeds performance and Roberts breezes through them with two goals. A lot of players with a higher goal return tend to be poachers rather than grafters.

Bamford is certainly in the mix for the reasons mooted – Klich is also in that selfless, indispensable category and would maybe get my vote – but close, with Dallas also in the conversation.

  6. He has worked like a trogan for our team, he gives 100% each time he plays, he deserves every good gesture he is selfless in his game, the way he gets up and down the pitch no player does it better, if he was to win player of the season, it would be well deserved.

  7. As much as I admire his tenacity and effort, he does not put the ball in the back of the net enough to deserve player of the season in my opinion. He would be on my list of “Deserves special mention”. Instead I believe Stuart Dallas deserves it so far but if Luke Ayling keeps scoring the way he has been of late who knows! Kalvin spoiled his chances a bit with the reckless red card..Anyway it is nice to be talking about several different players for the Player of the Season. Marching On Together!
