Liam Bridcutt: Why I think Leeds need to sign him permanently

According to many local reporters, Leeds are still very interested in bringing in the Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt, however, the main sticking point is his wages. Whilst on loan at Leeds United last season, Liam Bridcutt scored no goals, created 17 chances and provided one assist. For most midfielders these stats aren’t too impressive however, Bridcutt is more of a defensive midfielder and therefore did not venture up the field into creative situations. The more impressive side to Bridcutt’s gameliam-bridcutt_ is his passing. He completed 1024 passes last season with a pass accuracy of 81% of which 87% were forward passes. He completed more passes forward than Luke Murphy, Diagouraga and the recently departed Lewis Cook. I feel like Bridcutt would offer a lot more this season if we were to sign him as Monk is bringing in more creative players in forward areas, something I feel Leeds lacked last…
