Manuel Pellegrini insists his Manchester City side have no intention of playing it safe when Bayern Munich visit the Etihad Stadium.
The Germans come to England tomorrow as champions of Europe and with a fearsome attacking armoury at manager Pep Guardiola’s disposal.
However, Pellegrini’s strong Champions League reputation, having taken Villarreal to the semi-finals and Malaga to the last eight, was one of the main reasons City hired him in the summer and the Chilean believes it is imperative his side are prepared to take it to Bayern from the off.
